My dog Gizmo

January 22, 2012 at 11:02 pm (Uncategorized)

I have a cute little dog named Gizmo. I got her after my employer passed away last November. Gizmo is 15 years old. She is quite a gal. I found out yesterday that she has a few bad days with the snow like all of us do. The day started out with five inches of snow. Gizzy will go out the back door, and pee. That was fine, but she would Not  go out to poop. I had to make a circular way for her to do her business. Well, the snow was seven inches deep by then when she had to go out again. I watched my poor dog go do her business and the swim in the snow to get back to the back porch. She was priceless. in Idaho, we have a saying in the snow,”Don’t Stop”. I think that was what she was thinking as I watched her swim the doggy paddle around my back yard.

I bought Gizmo some potty pads for dogs because she will not go out for the neighbors when  I am at work. I put  down the pads for her to go on. Well… Gizmo walked on the pad, and followed me around the house. I put her on the pad, she walked off the pad and followed me around the house. then she put her dog bone on the pad and ate it. I for one, am not amused at the situation.

Tomorrow I start my second week on the new job. I like the job so far. There is so much to learn and remember to do it all before I go home. My co-workers are all really nice and helpful. I was unemployed for almost two months, so I am glad to be working again. Some jobs are weird, the full-time is 30 hours per week like this one. I can at least go get something else if  I need more hours. I still take care of mom everyday also I am busy again.
