The Americam Dream

March 15, 2012 at 3:54 pm (Uncategorized)

I read in the headlines this morning that a couple lost their business. The wife hardly smiles anymore. There is so much stress in the workplace, stress trying to raise your family in a healthy environment without the child taking over the household because the school system tells the children they do not have to listen to their parents anymore. It is sad to see where our society is heading. I lost my son Levi almost five years ago in a car accident at the age of twenty. it was hard enough to raise my son as a single parent after my husband died from his disease when Levi was four. I am sad for  our kids because if they do not have to respect their parents authority now, how are they ever going to be in the workplace in a few years with a boss. You can’t tell your boss where to put it unless you are walking out the door, and never plan to come back. It is getting even more scary out there for the kids.

I am getting my new schedule from my boss soon. I will then be starting my new book with the working title’Surviving Grief’. This new book tells how I have coped with the loss of my husband and son. It is difficult to grieve and still be expected to be a contributing member of society. Sometimes grief over takes your emotions. you can not always put you tears on hold. I know I still get comments from people can not believe your attitude you are always so positive’. I really try. Even if I do not feel like smiling, I alway try to smile.

I have been having some stomach issues the last couple weeks. When I try to eat in the morning, I vomit. I do not know if it better to eat and throw up,or go to work on an empty stomach. I am nauseous anyway. The things we go through just to survive another day.

I just got my jury duty packet yeaterday. I get to fill it out and get it sent back in within ten days of recieving it. i went to the courthouse yeaterday. No not contest the jury duty, I have friends that work there. I just went to visit. honest. Since I know most of the judges, attorneys and baliffs and security guards, it will be interesting as if I am picked for the jury though.

God sees your pain and he will give you peace in your storm. Try to atleast eat a few bites and stay hydrated. I will keep you in my prayers.
