Happy Easter

I would like to take this time and wish everyone a very Happy Easter.

As a parent who has lost her son, this time of year can be very difficult. I love to see families together, having a good time. I have so many great memories of my son Levi at Easter. We had the famous Easter egg hunt in my parent’s front yard;Then the family would gather together for dinner in the back yard. So many good memories. They say make memories while you can. I found this to be true four short years ago, one night my son and I said ‘I love you and goodbye’ for the last time. I have found you have to cherish the time you get to have with your loved ones

I have been working on some new stories to submit to publications. One story is on the power of positive thinking. It is important to keep a positive attitude even if circumstances seem difficult. I know it is easy to get into a depression that is hard to overcome, but I try to enjoy my life and what direction it has taken me. I never thought I would be and author of my first book. I work in the Health care Field and have my own home. I can not complain about one thing in my life. It has been hard since the death of my son, but I have learned that dealing with your grief is a daily process. it does not happen over night. I have good days and then the days where I just want to cry all day because I miss Levi so much. The one thing I miss everyday is not seeing Levi drive by me in his car.He always blushed because he had never passed his mom on the road. it was fun to wave to him in passing. I would wonder where he was going. Mom, Levi and I always had taco Tuesday. I would get off from work and go pick up dinner for us. Sweet memories make life worth living. Make a good memory tomorrow.
