Labor day  weekend Coeur D’ Alene will be hosting

The Diamond Cup Hydroplane race on beautiful Lake couer D’ alene.  The race drew big crowds in the 1950’s and 1960’s. We are excited to see the race brought back and included on the H1 Unlimited Tour. One of the hydroplanes Miss Spokane, has been making appearances all over town the past few weeks. We are once again, expecting large crowds to this exciting event years in the planning.

The end of summer vacation is still bringing plenty to see and enjoy from the outdoor summer concerts in the park, the many farmer’s markets, to the fairs in the area. Silver Wood theme park is having a busy season with well over a million visitors this year. There are some old favorites like the Ricochet rapids water park, to the steam engine train ride complete with an old-fashioned holdup, to a brand new thrill ride. Check it out the park is being included in the travel Channel’s Most Scariest Destinations for scary Wood this year. There are so many things to see and do as summer vacation winds down in to another school year. I know in Some States, school has been in session a couple of weeks already. It is hard to believe summer has flown by so fast. Get out there and enjoy what the end of the summer has to offer. Soon, we will feel a chill in the air, coffee that tastes better on a cold morning, and the changing of another season.

There is so much we can be thankful for. another day to see a loved one, friends stopping by for a visit, a family outing, picking fruit with the grandkids(for those fortunate enough to have them), sometimes our lives are changed in a moment. Take the time to hug your kids and grandkids extra tight, tell them how much you love them, how proud you are of them, how special they are, and most important, tell them how much they have enriched your lives. even the Tween attitudes won’t last forever I can promise you. My life was forever changed with the death of my son Levi 6 years ago. I am forever thankful to God for insight to give my son gas money. we put gas in his new car and laughed and joked in his car. This is the last memory I have with my son who was fighting for his life the next evening. I found out how fragile life is and how fragile we as humans are. Life is good indeed!
