Thank You For All Who Served

Some gave all, all gave some and some tried to run away.

One of the most touching images of Memorial day for me  was a of an old gentleman watching the parade, he could barely stand, but stand he did saluting the men as they walked by. A couple of years ago, I cared for an elderly gentleman who served in Normandy. We don’t realize unless we are there, the scares these men and woman carry. Some are physical, some are emotional. I remember watching ‘Band of Brothers’ with him and watching him cry from the memories.  So many freedoms we take for granted daily, they fought on foreign soil for us to enjoy today. May God keep his lamp shining on your faces, may He heal your deepest pain, may you always remember veterans, your sacrifice did not go unnoticed. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your service.
