Summer living,

So much to cram pack into a few short weeks.

You can participate in an Iron man competition.

You can be part of Hoop Fest, the biggest basketball competition in the Inland Northwest.

I still like watermelon eating and seed spitting contest.

Making ice cream with those you love for hot summer evenings.

There is Art on the Green.

Take in a summer concert in the park.

Spending the day at the beach with the kids or grand kids.

Pitching a tent in the backyard-ruffing it you know.

Watching the sunset with someone you love.

Fond memories of flying a kite in the local park as a kid.

Backyard swimming parties.

Going on a family bike ride through a different neighborhood.

Taking a rare quiet moment to curl up in the hammock with a good book.

Enjoy what summer has to offer. Just take time to spend it those you love as you never know what tomorrow will bring.I know I say this a lot, but my son died unexpectedly in a tragic car accident in 2007. I treasure the fond memories of being summer living with my son. Have a great summer everyone.
