Yes, it is that time of year again,

kids heading back to school, the parents delight, the child can’t wait until summer vacation. The end of summer does not have to be so depressing. I know, but we love to go to the beach, the summer cookouts, going barefoot all day. There are still some warmer days ahead before the season turns cooler altogether.

There are so many family activities to do as the leaves start turning and the air gets a chill. Now is a good time to purge unused items in the house and garage. Have a garage sale or donate your accumulated stuff. Your trash is after all another man’s treasure. It is amazing to see how one person can transform your  old coffee table with some paint and give it new life. The kids will love to help create a mosaic end table.

Now is a good time to look through your fall decorations. It is amazing how much stuff we accumulate. Be honest when purging.I like to see how I can reuse what I already have. If you are updating your homes decor, a can of spray paint can transform almost anything into something beautiful. See how you can update last years fall wreath.

It is getting that time again.Football parties,home-made chili, family game or movie night. The fall drives watching the changing leaves, fresh apple cider, pumpkin carving, apple picking, fall baking, good friends gathering around the table. The tale gating parties cheering your favorite high school team, catching up on that favorite book you have been putting off, popping corn on the stove for movie night.

Some of us are empty nesters or have lost our children. I still love to watch the families walking the dog and hearing them laugh. Find the simple joys in parenting because one day soon, they will off to college, join the Military or getting married.

I hope you had a great summer and find ways to enjoy this new season we are entering. thank you for supporting my blog. you are the best.
