To some, this is a dreaded Month- you are trying to make Christmas special for those around you,but you know someone you miss deeply is missing. I lost my son Levi in 2007 when he was involved in a tragic traffic accident. he was only 20. Life was forever changed in a moment. Christmas took on a new meaning for me.- I decided to make the best of this season and try and make it special for my mom.

Pick a few traditions to continue so you are not overwhelmed.

Choose a gift from the tree of sharing in your loved ones honor.

Buy a Christmas dinner for a family in need.

Remembering I do not have to put on the Christmas day dinner alone-delegate it out.

Remembering grieving is part of healing, it is okay to cry.

Don’t shut out loved ones.

Most important of all, always remember how much you are loved and thought about.

Make the most memories you can this Christmas and hug the kids extra tight, tell them how much you love them and how glad you are to have them in your life. Life can change forever in a moment, but with the love and support of family and friends, life can keep moving forward.
